The Judicial Branch of the State of Baja California held the “First Judicial Branch Athletic Race, let’s go together and go far” this Sunday, October 8. More than two thousand competitors were encouraged to run, jog or walk. in the categories of PJBC Workers and general runners.
The race started at 7 am and consists of a 5 kilometer route, which starts and ends at the CREA Sports Unit. The call generated great interest among the personnel of the Judiciary and the citizens, making this competition a real sports festival, according to the President of the Superior Court of Justice and the Council of the Judiciary, Judge Alejandro Isaac Fragozo López.
One of the goals of this initiative is to bring justice closer to the people and change the perception of the Institution as a closed and inaccessible place. It was emphasized by Presiding Magistrate Alejandro Isaac Fragozo López: “This is the first time in history that the Judiciary organizes, convenes and conducts an athletic race and we are very excited by the response we have had, not only from those personnel Working in the institution but the citizens in general. We want them to see magistrates, judges and staff in general close to them.
The absolute winners of the Workers category in the women’s branch were Cynthia RodrÃguez and in the Men’s branch, Omar Luna. Meanwhile, in the general runners category, the absolute winner was Frysha Vianey Santaclara and in the Men’s category, Mario MartÃnez.
The first three places of the staff of the Superior Court of Justice of the State in the categories of women and men received trophies from the institution.
The Judicial Branch of Baja California thanks the competitors for their participation and invites them to prepare for the next Athletic Race in Mexicali, scheduled for December 3.
