They seized 36 white weapons in the prisons of Guaiparo

The Bolívar State Police offered a summary of the raid conducted on Monday, November 20, at the preventive detention center in San Félix.

36 knives and 300 grams of suspected marijuana were among those seized in the “extraordinary search” conducted by the Guaiparo Police Coordination Center, in San Félix, this Monday, November 20.

Also recovered was a .38 caliber revolver with a defaced serial number, eight bullets of different calibers, a blowtorch and a portable radio.

They also found a desktop computer, printer, two internet routers, two cell phones, five dogs and several illegal drugs in their possession.

The raid on the preventive detention center began in the early hours of Monday and is part of Operation Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro.

Police officers participated in the search along with military personnel and representatives of the Ministry of Public Affairs and the Office of the Ombudsman.

“This operation was carried out with the firm intention of maintaining security and order in our preventive detention center,” stated the Bolívar State Police (PEB) in a press release.

Major General Jesús Arteaga Simancas, director of the PEB, informed the relatives before the boarding began that there will be no transfer of detainees from the detention center.
