The divisions of the regulated family basket are an atypical situation for the population and for the Ministry of Internal Trade (Mincin), which must continue an important monitoring scheme of the port-transport-internal economic operation to shorten the deadlines for that. the products arrive until they are distributed and reach the consumer.
This was said by Yosvani Pupo Otero, first vice minister of the Mincin, in a recent Round Table program to update the availability of products between November and December.
In rice, the month of October is guaranteed in almost all territories, except for the seventh round in Pinar del Río, Camagüey, and Granma, which ends in November.
December pounds will be delivered within that month.
Regarding the grains, he pointed out that, thanks to the import, it is possible to receive peas and make the completion in September and October in Pinar del Río, Camagüey, Holguín, and Granma. For November and December, ten ounces are guaranteed per capita.
Production and delivery of coffee began in Havana, Artemisa, Mayabeque, Cienfuegos, Sancti Spíritus, and Santiago de Cuba. The consumption in November will be distributed throughout the month, and there will be imported and domestically produced raw materials to meet the consumption in December.
Sugar and salt are guaranteed for the last two months of the year. In November, the sugar loss in Pinar del Río, Artemisa, and Havana was also finished. In December, four pounds of sugar per consumer were restored.
The distribution of oil corresponding to October began in all provinces, except Havana, which already distributes it. There is a one-month lag in the rest of the country; however, with future imports, November and December should be guaranteed.
Milk is one of the products whose guarantee causes the greatest tension because it is based on the collection of fresh milk, which immediately goes to the industry to be processed and delivered to the consumer. Some coordination actions should be established to guarantee it to children from zero to six months, a part of the population where there are guarantees to complete November. Children from six months to six years who receive powdered milk will have a guarantee of this product at the end of November, he said.
Compote, another food for the little ones, has its production in the industry restored to follow the distribution for the rest of the year.
As for the eggs, the distribution corresponding to October ends on November 22 in Holguín, Granma, Santiago de Cuba, and Guantánamo. The transfer of distribution is concentrated in the eastern provinces because the product must be transferred from other territories.
For the rest of the year, he reported a final distribution of seven eggs per capita, which begins in November. Some provinces will start receiving seven eggs this month, but this will be the last distribution of the year, based on availability, he said.
The greatest tension is presented by fresh products, such as poultry for the population (which depends on imports), beef for children, and medical food, which is based on livestock produced by the meat industry. Its distribution depends on availability because it reaches the industry.
Home fuels are allocated mainly to areas with difficult access, and the Plano de Turquino, although from Villa Clara to Las Tunas Cupet, has not distributed these resources for two months.
