This is the difference between the Women with Wellbeing and Pink Wage programs

The Government led by Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez will start the new “Women with Wellbeing” program, which will replace the Pink Wage. This new program includes an increase in the 100 pesos support and a reduction in the frequency of giving it.

Through the publication of the Official Gazette, the government of the State of Mexico established the rules of operation of the Social Development Program “Women with Wellbeing”, which will replace the Pink card implemented by the administration of Alfredo del Mazo.

During her gubernatorial campaign, Delfina Gómez assured that these social benefits for women will not disappear, but they will seek to eliminate the irregular practices in the distribution of resources within the program of its predecessor.

Both social programs aim to provide support to women in vulnerable situations, although with different methods and benefits.

These are the key differences between the two programs

Age range of beneficiaries

Pink Salary serves women from 18 to 59 years old, for its part, Mujeres con Bienestar extends its coverage to women in 18 to 64 years.

Eligibility criteria

Pink Wage is aimed at women who do unpaid housework. Meanwhile, Mujeres con Bienestar focuses on those in the poverty status and no access to social security.

Amount and Amount of Support

In terms of financial support, Salario Rosa offered 2,400 pesos per two-month delivery, which could be between one and six times.

Women with Benefits, for its part, will provide up to 2,500 pesos every two months. However, according to the operating rules of the program, the number of occasions that a Mexican woman can receive this support is reduced to one or two occasions, depending on the availability of the budget.

Additional services

The Pink Salary includes training and legal, psychological, health and educational services. Meanwhile, Mujeres con Bienestar offers legal aid, health, educationand other welfare-focused services.

Program focus

Pink Salary focuses on women who work at home without pay. Women with Wellbeing supports women in poverty status and no access to social security.

Both programs cover 125 cities in the State of Mexico.

Prioritization criteria

Pink Wage, according to its rules of operation, is mainly given to women in poverty; who dedicate themselves to housework without receiving wages; those living in areas with higher rates of poverty; and those in weaker situations, such as single mothers, women with disabilities, or those managing dependents.

For its part, in the new government program of Delfina Gómez, the prioritization criteria are focused on women who not only live in poverty, but also lack access to social security.
