This is the most expensive dog breed in the world

They come in all sizes, skins, and types. In the dog world, there are hundreds of breeds, each with different characteristics or characters, aspects that are usually crucial when cataloging them and determining which breeds have greater economic value than others.

Sometimes multi-million dollar dog purchases go viral and make headlines, which is established,” but it always depends on the person who is interested in the animal. One such case recently occurred in China, in Zheijiang province, where a man paid almost two million euros for a Tibetan mastiff.

Although this breed is considered the most expensive in the world due to its characteristics, the actual prices are not even half of what this citizen pays, since currently, depending on the country of origin or ancestry, among other things, the price can range from 3,500 to 12,000 euros.

But why is the Tibetan Mastiff so expensive?

In order to actually determine that one race is more expensive than another, countless factors must be taken into account in addition to those already mentioned: rarity, body type, or abilities such as speed, agility, or similar abilities also play a role in this decision.

With the Tibetan Mastiff, many factors, such as size or coat, come together to highlight the special nature of this breed. But that’s not all, because its characteristics include its robustness and its excessively developed muscles.

In men, their height can reach 66 centimeters, while in women, it usually does not exceed 61 centimeters. The weight of this breed ranges from 36 to 72 kilos and can exceed this.

Not suitable for “beginners” in the dog world

These characteristics make him a breed that has little or no recommendation for people without previous dog handling experience, as it is difficult to train or socialize him. Nevertheless, in the right home, he is a calm, loving, and loyal companion.

In addition, it is a dog that is very resistant to disease, although hereditary eye problems or hip dysplasia tend to be common in old age, requiring control and monitoring.

For all these reasons, the Tibetan Mastiff is the most expensive dog breed in the world, with many people able to spend millions to acquire one.
