Agents from the Ayerbe Civil Guard post were arrested Tree people are said to be guilty of a crime of strong theft of copper cablewhen they were caught cutting the wiring and the back of their van full of these stolen materials.
The events took place on October 28. At around 1:20 p.m., while the agents were traveling along the Z-534 highway that connects the towns of Murillo de Gállego and Agüero, they noticed the cable theft from telephone lines. After checking the area, they found a parked van on the edge of a dirt road where the copper cables of the telephone line run, observed three people carrying cables to the car.
The alleged perpetrators told agents they were working in the area, posing as employees of a well-known company in the sectorwhere they have no identification or proof.
Immediately, agents took steps to verify what the alleged authors had said, verify that these people do not belong to the company and they do not have permission to cut and move such wiring.
Ayerbe Civil Guard agents verified that inside the van there were several rolls of cable, in addition to some ladders that they used to remove the copper cable, pretending that they worked for the company. Similarly, they found the tools used to cut the cable.
In total, the Ayerbe Civil Guard seized 400 meters of cable, which means about 1,000 kilograms, with an estimated value of 1,200 euros, not including the damage caused to the facilities.
