A TikTok star’s son was shot dead the day before he turned 19 – and he’s now pleading with his more than 7 million followers to help find his killer.
“Today would have been my child’s 19th birthday, but he was taken from me last night. Taken from my kids and my husband and our family,” Ophelia Nichols, who posts from @shooleover99 on TikTok, said in a video on Saturday. “My son was murdered. He was shot.”
Nichols’ son, Randon Lee, was shot and killed Friday night at a gas station in Prichard, Ala., south of Mobile, according to local outlet WKRN.
“I never asked you for anything, but I need your help with this,” said Nichols, an influential figure whose followers call her Mama Tot and known for her Southern accent and friendly send-off. . His front porch.

Police have released few details about the murder, but Nichols said officers have two possible leads.
Mom said she now “feels hatred in my heart that I don’t recognize because I’ve never felt hatred for anyone.”
In the text embedded in the video, she wrote, “I will not stop until my son’s murderer is found and prosecuted.”


“He was just 18, it’s the best part of anyone’s life,” she added to her followers through tears.
In an emotional plea, she put a picture of herself and her son in front of the camera and addressed the killer: “I want you to see my son. … this is my son, and you have taken him away from me.”
Just before the post, Nichols, who calls her followers “tater tots,” posted a video on a beach in Alabama, enjoying the scene before receiving the horrifying news. He has three other children. Randon was her youngest.
