Here is a broader overview of the Toyota Hilux 2023 and all versions available in the Mexican market. The Japanese pick-up is one of the best selling vehicles in Mexico. Without going any further, it ended 2022 as the ninth best-selling model in the country and by the end of 2023 it will seek to climb the ranks, which is not easy due to the dominance of sedans.

Taking the Hilux Base Double Cab and SR shows a length of 5325mm, width and height of 1815mm and a wheelbase of 3085mm. With a double row of seats, it has an interior capacity of five passengers and a cargo space of up to 820 kg. The rear box offers a height of 480mm, a length of 1525mm and a width of 1540mm.

The 3085mm wheelbase also fits a Hilux without the rear box (exposed chassis), which also has a height of 1690mm, a width of 1800mm and a length of 5335mm and 5265mm, respectively. In these two versions, the load capacity, with the lower cabin, increases to 1055 kg and 1230 kg respectively. For a simple cabin with a box, the dimensions of this cargo space are as follows: 480 mm high, 1575 mm wide and 2315 mm long.
Its exterior equipment includes electric adjustable and manual side mirror valves, running side panels, rear defroster, black antenna grill on the front, bad antenna on the roof, in the middle position above the windshield, four hooks attached inside the rear box and halogen. laying down perspective The SR, also a double cab, adds to this configuration a team of LED fog lights and turn signals in the mirrors. Powering the Hilux is a 2.7-liter inline four-cylinder that produces up to 166 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 180 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. All connected to a five-speed manual transmission, so that the pick-up is moved through the rear-wheel drive (RWD). Here, precisely, it has traction control (TRAC), Hill Control Assist (HAC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and, in the case of double cabs, it adds Trailer Stability Control (TSC).
The model is extended with Double Cabin Diesel MT and Diesel AT versions, the latter with a speed bump. Here, the engine displacement to 2.8 liters, and its power to 201 hp. In terms of torque, the MT Diesel boasts up to 310 lb-ft at 1,400-3,400 rpm and the AT Diesel goes further, with a peak torque of 369 lb-ft at 1,600-2,800 rpm.

Considering the 2022 balance of sales in Mexico, the Hilux NP300 is far away, which surpasses the bike twice in the duel. In this list, both are the only ones in the segment that make up the top 10. The Toyota Hilux ranks ninth among the best selling models with a total of 20,842 units sold. It is also Toyota’s best-selling vehicle in the region, followed by the RAV4 SUV in 22nd place.
