Tubos Samuel made its third expansion with a $4 million investment, inaugurating a new plant in the Amistad Industrial Park and creating 100 jobs in Saltillo, Coahuila.
Saltillo, Coahuila, May 26, 2023.- Tubos Samuel has inaugurated a new plant in the Amistad Industrial Park, thus marking its third expansion in Saltillo, Coahuila. The company, specializing in the manufacture of cold-drawn and welded tubes and stainless steel pipes in various sizes and lengths, will see an investment of $4 million and create 100 new jobs.
During the event, Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solis, Secretary of the Economy, highlighted the importance of the plant and the government’s commitment to provide qualified labor, legal certainty and a stable working environment, along with companies over time. The Vice Chairman and General Manager of Tubos Samuel thanked the state government and the personnel of the company for their support and mentioned that they are the driving force behind the success.
Tubos Samuel has more than 5,000 employees in 85 facilities in Mexico, the United States and Canada, and is a supplier to a variety of sectors, including transportation, construction, aerospace, energy and industrial automation. Furthermore, they announced their expansion plans, estimating to further expand their regional space over the next three years.
The event was attended by the Consul General of Canada in Monterrey, directors of Grupo Amistad and Martinaria, Saltillo’s director of economic development, presidents of business chambers and members of the Saltillo City Council. During his speech, he highlighted the significant growth of Tubos Samuel, which started in 2006 in a warehouse of just 45,000 sq ft and today has doubled the space and 300 employees.
