His career has been very varied. He began working as a draftsman for small architectural offices in Tijuana, with time he took on positions with greater responsibility until he became a project manager for the construction of shopping malls, buildings and other relevant projects.
He later moved to the United States and worked for a large corporation in San Diego, USA, where he assisted in the construction of federal buildings for the San Diego airport project and for the United States government.
“The San Diego airport project is the biggest project I’ve ever worked on and I remember it was a huge team and hours and hours of work; our commitment was so great that I was tempted to say ‘whatever it takes’ developed the power of continuity, we are going to finish it’, we have achieved the goal and it was a successful project”, commented Beatriz Cabrera.

How are you feeling at this point in your life as a professional?
“It has been a very satisfying experience because I look back when I was a student and never in my life would I have imagined doing what I am doing now, it is way more than I expected and I think this country has been very good. Generous with me.”
Why did you choose to study architecture?
“I am an artist, I like drawing, art, colors and I was between Graphic Design, Philosophy and Letters and Architecture. From the first semester I was attracted to architecture because it has a lot of history, it has a lot of meaning and it’s artistic part But it’s also the emotional part.”
Later, the UAG alumnus shared that she decided to study her degree at UAG because many of her family members studied here, and she attended graduation when she was younger, which is why He imagined himself in this university.
Any interesting memories from your time at UAG?
“I had Design Week when I was studying, the truth is that it was an unforgettable event because I had the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues who were not necessarily from my degree, nor from my semester, And it was a great experience that I won’t forget.”
On the other hand, what he learned at UAG, such as the values instilled in him at the university and the professionalism of the professors, helped him develop the character that has helped him become the great professional he is today.
