“If you receive Social Security benefits, live in Colombia and the last two digits of your Social Security Number end in 50 to 99, the Social Security Administration (SSA) sends you a Foreign Compliance Questionnaire (FEQ) , which must be sent in full. in the middle of December,” said the embassy trill.
In the text addressed to the embassy, which presents the information in a more timely manner, it is clarified that the Foreign Compliance Questionnaire, FEQ, will be sent between June and July 2023. For people who did not answer the first question, it is clarified: “If you did not return the first question, the second question was sent to you on October 17, 2023.”
If this form is not completed and submitted correctly, the embassy explains that the benefits for the following year may be lost.
Age
The embassy clarified that after a certain age, the form must be submitted, regardless of the social security number: “If you are 90 years old or older and your benefits are paid through a representative payer, You must also complete an FEQ, regardless of the last two digits of your Social Security number.”
For people who did not receive the questionnaire and must complete the procedure within the deadlines, they must remember that they must complete the information in two forms of the SSA, personal data, and send it to the SSA.
