US Congress on the way to Trump’s gifts

The United States Congress is investigating former President Donald Trump and is looking for a number of gifts that celebrities from other countries have given him. The president’s articles are preserved by the National Archives and he was asked to locate the items of Trump and relatives.Gifts being sought include golf clubs given by former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. There is also a soccer ball from the 2018 World Cup in Russia, which was given to him by the leader of that country, Vladimir Putin.

Others present are a gold necklace given by the President of Egypt and a painting with a portrait of Trump. The plastic work was given by the President of El Salvador.

In an honorary act of Saudi Arabia, its King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud presented the former US President with a necklace worth $6,400.00 USD. In total the value of all memories is $50,000.00 USD.

broken law

The House Oversight Committee is reviewing whether Trump violated the Foreign Gifts and Decorations Act. This is a 1966 legal order that makes it impossible for heads of state to deposit foreign relics worth more than $415.00 USD without payment.

The State Department did not receive a detailed list of items given to members of the previous administration. George W. Bush and Barack Obama’s terms had no problem with unregistered gifts.

Donald Trump is also being prosecuted by the FBI for misconduct with secret documentation. The former US president was searched at the Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida and important papers on China and Iran were found. Thanks to three secretive people close to the previous presidency, officials are getting valuable information about Trump’s operations.
