Hamas and Iran will pay “full price” for their terror attacks against Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the government at the start of their weekly meeting on Sunday, after Hamas leader Saleh Al-Arouri threatened a regional war.
“Hamas and other Iranian delegates understand very well that we will fight by all means against their attempts to promote terrorism against us in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and elsewhere.”
“Whoever tries to harm us, who finances, who organizes, who sends terror against Israel, will pay the full price,” Netanyahu said.
He also delivered that message last week after two deadly Palestinian terrorist attacks in the West Bank that killed three Israelis.
Israel has blamed both Iran and Hamas for the attacks, blaming the latest wave of terrorism specifically on Iranian funding.
Netanyahu told the government: “I also heard the babble of senior Hamas official Arouri from his hideout in Lebanon. He knows very well why he and his colleagues are hiding.”
“I would also like to appeal to the citizens of Israel: we are facing waves of terrorism, both internal and external,” Netanyahu said.
“These are not easy times. These are challenging times. We must join forces against terrorism, against crime in the Arab sector, and against external and internal threats, organized in large part by Iran through its proxies. If we stick together, we will win. “This is my appeal to all members of government, to parliamentarians, and to all Israeli citizens,” he added.
“The Israeli government is determined to fight criminal organizations in the Arab sector. “This is a national plague,” Netanyahu said.
“I appeal to the Arab public. I appeal to parliamentarians, municipal leaders, and opinion leaders to stand with the government in the common effort against criminal organizations,” he added.
