Varun Dhawan, Rohit Dhawan, celebs paid tribute to driver Manoj’s funeral: ‘Stay strong…’

Actor Varun Dhawan and his elder brother Rohit Dhawan made their presence felt at the funeral of their family’s driver Manoj Sahu on Wednesday. Manoj Sahu, who used to work as Varun’s driver and was close to the actor for the past 26 years, died of a heart attack on Tuesday.

Both Varun And Rohit was seen at Manoj’s funeral in Mumbai on Wednesday. Rohit Dhawan was earlier also seen at Lilavati Hospital, where Manoj was taken after complaining of chest pain.

Varun Dhawan remembered Manoj on Wednesday share a video on his official Instagram account. This video is from the unveiling of his wax statue at Madame Tussauds in 2018. Calling him her “motivating force”, she said that Manoj always patted her on the back. In the clip, Varun said, “Manoj has worked with me over the years and years and always has my back. She is everything to me. He has been with me throughout my journey.”

Many Bollywood stars have mourned this post of Varun. Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim wrote, ‘Stay strong Varun please.. You both were very close and the love you had for each other.. Manoj bhai was a wonderful person. May his soul rest in peace.. We all will always remember Manoj bhai and his smiling face.”

Anil Kapoor further added, “Deeply saddened to hear about Varun…Sorry for your loss…Sending my heartfelt condolences to you and Manoj’s loved ones…”

Others including Farah Akhtar, Arjun Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Dino Morea, Abhishek Banerjee, Bhumi Pednekar, Swara Bhasker, Huma Qureshi, Homi Adajania, Sophie Choudry, Maniesh Paul, and Punit Malhotra also paid tribute.
