The Venezuelan U17 basketball team will try to win the gold medal in the South American Championship in the category of 2024 after defeating the Brazilian national team 61-79.
The meeting took place at the La Gota FrĆa Sports Coliseum in Valledupar, in Colombia, in a match where the tricolor team remains superior all the time.
Likewise, the Venezuelan basketball team will play this Monday for the title of the tournament from 10:30 pm (Venezuelan time) with Argentina.

The Creoles were able to reach halftime with a 31-39 lead to reach the third period with the strong goal of maintaining this dominance, something they did not lose in the rest of the game.
In the final moments, the team was able to expand the eight-point advantage and brought it to 15 points, and then sealed the score with other points that brought Venezuela to 79 points.
With this victory, the team qualified for the FIBA āāAmericas U18 to find their World Cup spot in the category after 16 years without the aforementioned competition.
The star of the game was Diego SulbarĆ”n who had a double-double of 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the team’s offense.
Another of the most outstanding figures in the game was Ydderick GonzƔlez, who finished with a triple-double of 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
