The Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Joaan bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, where they reviewed bilateral cooperation issues.

“We thank His Royal Highness, Emir of the State of Qatar, @TamimBinHamad, for hosting us during our stay in his country. We present greetings from the President. @NicolasMaduro and the Venezuelan people. In this friendly meeting, we approved our intention to strengthen the bonds of friendship, and we reviewed areas of common cooperation for the benefit of both peoples,” Rodríguez published on the social network.

Venezuela and Qatar maintain relations of friendship and cooperation, which have been strengthened since the government of Commander Hugo Chávez until today. To date, they have had 50 years of fruitful and close friendship since the establishment of diplomatic relations, AVN reported.
These countries maintain technical cooperation agreements in fields such as agriculture, culture, education, tourism, air services, and investment.
