Only 2.72 percent of Venezuelans voted this Sunday in the primary election of the opposition, which was plagued by vices and irregularities criticized by the right bank of the National Assembly on Monday.
In press statements, deputy Luis Eduardo Martínez considered that this process was unsuccessful and exclusive, where only 645 thousand people voted out of more than two million included in the electoral roll.
The presidential candidate for the Democratic Action Party also commented that according to their monitoring systems, extended to each of the voting centers in the country, they are the voters who went to the polls.
He indicated that the elections were called by a minority sector of the Venezuelan opposition and emphasized that from the beginning “it was born bad”, because it was exclusive for the majority of the sectors of the partisan opposition, which was prevented from joining.
He also pointed out that it lacks elements such as technical support, including the non-participation of the National Electoral Council, whose offer of logistical support was rejected.
For the Venezuelan politician, it is “sad and almost shameful” that they tried to deceive the people of Venezuela with a number that anyone in their right mind knows is impossible to achieve.
He added that in order to reach the number they now intend to “implant in each of us,” the voting process should begin on Friday and should continue.
The parliamentarian emphasized that the competent bodies will act with the utmost rigor to determine the responsibilities of what he called “a great deception of the people” in Venezuela.
Martínez stated that those who try to present themselves in the country as victorious are the same ones who are “destined to ask for sanctions” for the Venezuelans who are currently suffering the consequences of the foreign attack.
The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, criticized this Monday the fraud in the primary election of the opposition and the participation of the United States, which contributed money for its celebration.
In the traditional press conference on Monday, the political leader indicated that what happened the previous day was a mockery for more than 600,000 Venezuelans who voted from the opposition sector, which he estimated as “a good number.”
Cabello stated that they prefer to lie at unbelievable levels because “they don’t have any math, elections, or even existential logic” and assured that this is a huge media operation, “very good for propaganda.”
