In an event held at the diplomatic headquarters of the Asian country in Havana, the president of the administrative board and general director of the corporation, Tran Ngoc Thuan, emphasized that the company has more than 300 suppliers worldwide, 12 product lines, as well as two factories and a solar energy park in the Caribbean country.
He explained that the success of his company, the largest in the Antilles, is based on three aspects: the corporation has been able to know and understand the needs of Cuban clients, and it also has the trust of its Vietnamese partners, the government, and the Cuban company.
Tran Ngoc expressed the corporation’s interest in offering more supplies and distribution channels, investing in tourism projects, high-tech agriculture, and clean energy, and contributing to the sustainable development of the Caribbean country’s economy.
“Thai Binh is considered by the governments of both countries as a major investor in Cuba and has an important role in the desired goal of achieving a commercial exchange of 500 million dollars by the year 2030,” emphasized the manager.
With the expansion strategy, he added, we want to collaborate with all economic actors and build an ecosystem with people and islands at the center.
He commented that the vision of the founding president of the company, Tran Thanh Tu, allows us to understand that the help of suppliers, the trust of Cuban partners, and collective work are the bases for strong development.
For his part, the deputy director of the Mariel Special Development Zone office, Yanet Vázquez, emphasized that in these 25 years, the Thai Binh group has expanded and diversified its business in the island, not only limiting itself to the sphere of commerce but also making important investments
Currently, he specified, the corporation is the user with the largest number of projects in key sectors for the economic and social development of the Caribbean country, with the introduction of new technologies and a great contribution to positioning Vietnam as the first Asian investor in the Development Zone.
Vázquez emphasized that the Thai Binh is a faithful exponent of friendship that emerges in the heat of important moments and gives its support to Cuba in situations of natural disasters and other contingencies, with important solidarity actions.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese ambassador to the island, Le Thanh Tung, highlighted the successes of the Asian company.
He pointed out that the Thai Binh helped to make the wishes of the parties and governments of Cuba and Vietnam to increase step by step the bilateral economic cooperation, trade, and investment and to adapt the excellent political relations that unite the two countries.
