- Hardik performed brilliantly on England tour
- Sunil Gavaskar heaps praise on Hardik
Team India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya had a stellar performance in the third ODI against England. Hardik took four wickets while bowling first. At the same time, showing stamina in batting, he scored a half-century. Thanks to Hardik’s all-round game, Team India was successful in winning the series 2-1.
Now great Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar has also praised Hardik Pandya. Gavaskar believes that the maturity that has come in Hardik’s game is fantastic. Apart from this, Gavaskar has also said a big thing about out-of-form Virat Kohli.
Gavaskar told Aaj Tak, ‘The maturity that has come in his cricket is unbelievable. If you have an all-rounder coming out to bat at No. 5 or 6, who can speed up the innings and can bat fast and hit sixes at any time, that’s great. Apart from this, when the batsmen are trying to score runs in the middle overs, they are getting wickets while bowling during those overs. It is really great to see Hardik Pandya doing well.
Virat has a lot of cricket left: Gavaskar
Gavaskar said that India should not be worried about the poor form of its top order. Gavaskar believes that there is a lot of cricket left in the trio of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.
Gavaskar said, ‘I don’t think it is a matter of concern. All these players have had a wonderful career. We should not rush as he has a lot of time to contribute to Indian cricket. They still have a lot left. If the lower order and middle order also fail like the top order then you probably need to look at other options.
