“We need to put Acapulco on its feet as soon as possible. That is the general plan: to help the affected people and at the same time return to normal in terms of tourism in the beautiful port of Acapulco,” he said.
In his press conference in the morning, the head of the federal Executive indicated that at 5 pm in the Ministry of Finance, in the National Palace, the head of the agency, Rogelio RamÃrez de la O, and the Ministry of Economy will hold a meeting, as the heads of SAT, the undersecretary of Expenditures, the president of the National Banking and Securities Commission, the director of Banobras and the director of Nacional Financiera, together with members of the private sector to propose to support the tourism sector in Acapulco.
The governor of the Bank of Mexico also decided to participate autonomously, he said.
President López Obrador indicated that a review will be carried out to determine which tourism companies have insurance, “we will talk to the insurers so that they do not delay the procedures, to take immediate action.”
In the case of those without insurance, he said, let’s find a way for them to benefit from cheap loans from commercial banks and development banks.
In addition, measures will also be taken so that there is no shortage of building materials, and for this purpose communication will be sought with companies that produce iron and cement “because many building materials are needed and we do not want them there. that would be speculation”, he appeared.
