All about the Alicia Multiforo exhibition
This exhibition seeks to take a tour of the history of Alicia, a place where we saw countless artists from rock, metal and other musical genres. You’ll find it in the Cristina Payón Room of the National Museum of Popular Cultures (289 Hidalgo Ave., Del Carmen neighborhood, Coyoacan Mayor’s Office.
You’ll find posters, records, T-shirts, canvases, bags, alebrijes, books, graffiti, movies, music and more. If you can’t make it to the opening, don’t worry, because the exhibit “Alicia. It has not been forgotten” will last longer.
Alicia Multiforo was inaugurated in 1995 in the Roma neighborhood. For more than 27 years it was the venue for concerts and artistic activities. It is estimated that more than 5 thousand programs were organized here.
It also hosted the launch of over 100 albums, one book and two documentaries. In early December 2022, it was reported that the location would be closing permanently. And just like that, after their goodbye show, they closed their doors in early 2023.
