Oxfam America conducted a study to evaluate The best and worst states to work in the United States.

While Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas had zero points.

In these states, There are no laws protecting workers’ rights. As a result, they cannot unionize, resulting in the workforce being unable to negotiate better wages, benefits, and working conditions.

The state of Michigan repealed its “right to work” law.

In Minnesota, workers can receive up to 20 weeks of paid family leave.

“The best states for workers have consistently passed new state legislation that fills these gaps,” Henderson added. “Our research shows a strong correlation between sound employment policies, better household income measurements, food security, and even lower infant mortality rates.”

Oregon is the best state for women to work in, followed by California, New York, Illinois, and Washington.
