In recent days, the Canadian Embassy in Colombia and SENA have announced different job offers for high school graduates who want to work in that country in fields such as mechanics, carpentry, welding and plumbing. The vacancies have different profiles and terms with salaries ranging between 15 to 18 million pesos per month.
People interested in applying for these offers, as well as those who wish to travel for tourism or study, should take into account a number of recommendations when applying for an entry permit to that country.

Requirements for obtaining a Canadian visa
The Canadian authorities announced that everyone entering their territory must have a complete vaccination program against the corona virus (at least two doses). To complete the visa application process, you must have a valid passport, no criminal record, have the financial capacity to pay the fees for visa procedures, and reside in that country. In addition, the individual must be available for an interview or undergo a medical examination upon request by the Canadian Consulate.
How to get Canada Visa?
People who meet all the requirements requested by Canadian immigration authorities must first have their passport processed at a Foreign Ministry office and fill out an application form according to the type of visa requested: tourism, study or work. After completing this step, you will need to click on the button that says “Verify” to generate a document with a barcode that must be signed and re-uploaded to the platform.
The visa process can be done virtually or in person, in the case of the second way, the documents must be taken to one of the Visa Application Centers:

How much does a Canada visa cost in Colombia?
The cost of a tourist visa is 100 Canadian dollars per person, which is roughly equivalent to 342,000 Colombian pesos. In addition, you will need to pay an $85 biometric fee for a total of 632,000 Colombian pesos, which is approximately $290,000 added up.
The cost of applying for a study permit is 150 Canadian dollars per person and the renewal of this permit costs 350 Canadian dollars, which is approximately equal to 1,197,000 Colombian pesos.

On the other hand, a work visa costs 155 Canadian dollars per person, which is equivalent to 530,000 pesos, while renewal is 355 dollars, which is equivalent to 1,266,161 Colombian pesos.
To these costs should be added the necessary certifications and copies of the attached documents. These notarization procedures usually cost between 2,600 and 3,000 Colombian pesos.
