For this reason, WhatsApp has developed the “Multi-Account Support” tool, which allows you to register and manage a second account in the same application. Both features offer the same thing but register different numbers in the main profile. The difference, however, is that WhatsApp Plus (“Login Plus) allows you to add up to five accounts, while WhatsApp Messenger only allows you to add two. It is important to clarify that multiple account support is currently being tested in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android.
The steps to use the feature that WhatsApp copied from WhatsApp Plus
- First, you need to download the beta version of WhatsApp for Android. I’ll tell you how to do it later.
- Now open the application and click on the three-dot icon at the top right.
- Several options will appear. Click “Switch Accounts” (you won’t leave the main app, nor will you lose your chats).
- Here you will see a window with the name of your current account. Tap “Add Account” at the bottom.
- The next step is to register the new number: select a country, enter the verification code, and add a name, information, profile picture, etc.
- Done; you are already in the second account. To switch to the main account, tap the three dots again and select “Switch Accounts”.
- If you want to remove the secondary account, do so via Settings > Account > Remove Account.
