Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has launched an all-out war on his territory. The Russian Army invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. It’s been 19 months of total war in a conflict that shows no signs of letting up. Just three days ago, Russian troops launched an Iskander missile at the small town of Kharkiv. The town’s residents (about 400 in total) were participating in a funeral, so more than 50 civilians were killed in just one Russian attack.
Zelensky, visibly tired, did not hesitate on Saturday night to send a message about what is happening in Israel, after the unprecedented attack by Hamas militants. In the morning, he and his Government released an official message, however, in the evening. The Ukrainian leader decided to clarify his position, if there was any doubt in the face of all the noise caused by social networks.
The Ukrainian president admitted that since early Saturday he had been in contact with diplomats and members of Ukrainian Intelligence.
“The whole world has seen terrible videos from Israel. Terrorists humiliate women and men, suppress even the elderly and show no mercy,” said Zelensky. If the president criticized anything throughout the invasion, it was the way Russian soldiers killed soldiers and soldiers’ families, raped (women and children) and kidnapped minors and adults.
For the Ukrainian president, this is a “terrorist attack” and everyone who “values life” should “show solidarity.”
The president confessed that in “Ukraine we have a special feeling for what happened. Thousands of rockets in the Israeli sky… People were killed in the streets… Civilian cars were shot at… The prisoners humiliated…”, Zelensky stressed .
The leader of the country invaded by the Kremlin’s troops is adamant. “Our position is very clear: anyone who causes terror and death anywhere on the planet must be held accountable.” And one of the points of the peace plan that they are defending in Ukraine is that those responsible and those responsible for the invasion and war crimes on the land of Ukraine will be judged.
Sponsors of terrorism
Therefore, the Ukrainian president stated that the terrorist attack against Israel was “well planned” and insisted that “the whole world knows which sponsors of terrorism can support and allow their organization.” It is worth noting that during the 19 months of the invasion, Ukraine has often criticized that countries such as Iran supplied Russia with weapons for its offensive, including Shahed kamikaze drones, which caused great damage.
Right to self-defense
Zelensky concluded that “Israel has the full right to defend itself from terror. Like any other state.
