The dystopian universe of ‘The Hunger Games’ returns to theaters in 2023 with a prequel titled ‘The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’. “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” is a film starring Rachel Zegler and Tom Blyth in the leads, in the roles of Lucy Gray Baird and Coriolanus Snow (the one who was played by Donald Sutherland in the original film series).

After the screening, producer Nina Jacobson (who produced the original four films) and Lawrence (who directed all but the first film) discussed the trailer and teased some previously unseen details.
“Lucy is a completely original character”, Jacobson said. “She is very different from Katniss. She is an artist. And Katniss was the exact opposite.” added.
