The popular messaging app is working on an update that aims to change the dynamics of group chats.
WhatsApp, the most popular messaging application in the world, is kept up-to-date and changes almost constantly. In the last few days, there have been messages about groups that have worried more than one user.
Undoubtedly, the creation of groups is one of the preferred features for those who use the Meta company’s messaging service on a daily basis. And that’s why the company is working on a system that could change the dynamic a bit.
WhatsApp changes for groups
With the new WhatsApp update, users can create groups with a maximum of six participants for both iOS and Android without having to specify a specific name.
This change is intended for situations where haste is of the essence or when the party theme is undecided.
According to the company, if a user creates a group without a name, the system automatically generates one based on the names of the participants involved.
The new function stipulates that nameless groups will be limited to a maximum of six participants, as the company emphasizes.
Mobile phones will be without WhatsApp from September 30th
Mobile devices with the operating systems from Android 4.0.1 or less and with iOS 12 or lower, they will no longer be able to use the application from the end of September.
