People with predominance in the left hand, on some occasions, encounter scenarios in which they can become uncomfortable, unlike those individuals who are used to using their right hand for their daily activities.
One of the most notorious examples appears during school, when left-handed students, writing from left to right, end up with ink on their hands. Now, even in technological matters, they also face some challenges.
In order to ensure comfort for users with higher left hand skills, a useful option is turn on left-handed mode smartphones, especially in instant messaging applications like WhatsApp and Telegram. This, taking into account that serial devices are configured by default for right-handed people.
Steps to enable left handed mode on Android devices
The mentioned applications do not include the possibility to change from right to left-handed mode in their specific settings, however, the general settings of the smartphone they do allow to reorganize the distribution of the elements, applying a ‘mirror effect’.
- Go to ‘System’.
- Click on ‘Additional settings’.
Later, the device will show if the developer option is already activated, in case it does not appear, follow these steps:
- Enter ‘Settings’.
- Press ‘Phone information’.
Refer to the ‘Build number’ section and press six times in a row until a notice appears indicating that the developer options are activated.
Once this process is done, the user will be able to activate the ‘left-handed mode’ on the entire device:
- Enter ‘Settings’.
- Press the option ‘System settings’ or ‘System’.
- Find the ‘Developer Options’ section.
- Activate the option ‘Force RTL layout direction’.
When this process is done, the device will move the interface elements around. In case the user does not get used to the new organization, he can revert it repeating the steps described above and unchecking the ‘Force RTL layout direction’ option.

WhatsApp is the most used messaging platform in the world, as it has already exceeded 5,000 million downloads and nearly 2,000 users worldwide.
This encourages the application to be constantly updated, either with design changes or new functions to make it easier for users, so the WABetainfo website announced the news that the popular platform will have.
Thus, the portal explained that the update of the beta version, which will be for Android 2.22.1.2, will allow people to use the camera with a new interface.
For this reason, the camera will get a redesign and the new tabbed media picker, and are in testing while the latest Android beta updates are installed. Also note that the media bar has not been removed.
The new feature of WhatsApp in its beta version
Millions of WhatsApp users had been concerned about the messaging network’s security and privacy system for several months, but now the problem seems to be resolved.
For five years, WhatsApp had end-to-end encryption on its text messages. It is an encryption system that generates keys that are only stored on the device and that prevents any third party from accessing the content, including the provider itself.
