2024 begins and with it the Secretary of Public Education (SEP) has revealed the dates of the long weekend where students can be absent from classes.
In fact, one of the first bridges will happen in the same month of January. Although it won’t last long. In the month of February, the students have another couple of dates where they will be absent during the bridge periods according to the SEP set in 2024.
There are at least three long weekend dates, before students take the Easter holidays, from the 2024-25 calendar, which will take place between the end of March and the beginning of April.
WHEN WAS THE FIRST APRIL BRIDGE CELEBRATED?
According to the SEP calendar, preschool, elementary and secondary school students will enjoy their first long weekend of 2024 on Friday, January 26, which will be linked to Saturday and Sunday, without work.
Students will resume their academic activities next Monday, January 29, but they will again enjoy a short bridge period, because on Monday, February 5, classes will be suspended for the anniversary of the 1917 Constitution.
WHEN IS THE SECOND OF FEBRUARY BRIDGE?
The second long weekend to be held in the month of February will fall on the 23rd of that month, the date on which the meeting of the School Technical Council will be held, before the Easter holiday period.
The Easter vacation period begins on Monday, March 25 and students must attend classes on Monday, April 8, when the Easter vacation period ends.
Currently, the SEP long weekend calendar is set until July 2024.
