The IRS’s deadline for filing and paying taxes has been extended For most taxpayersin California until mid-November due to winter storms at the beginning of the year.
This extension of tax returns to the state of California is available to residents of 55 counties including major cities such as San Francisco, San Bernardino, Los Angeles,s and San Diego.
The aid is based on three different disaster declarations including severe winter storms, floods, landslides,s and more.
This extension was announced the day before the deadline, as California has its extension after the federal deadline was extended in January.

Residents of eligible counties have their application deadline automatically moved. tax filing until Nov. 16, and no longer need to provide documentation showing that they were affected by typhoons.
“The Internal Revenue Service today further postponed the tax filing deadlines for most California taxpayers until November 16, 2023”reads the IRS statement.
“After last winter’s natural disasters, the usual spring dates have been postponed until October 16.
“As a result, most California individuals and businesses have until November 16 to file their 2022 returns and pay any taxes.
“Fifty-five of California’s 58 counties, all but Lassen, Modo,c and Shasta counties, are eligible.
“IRS assistance is based on three different FEMA disaster declarations covering severe winter storms, flooding, mudslides, and mudslides over several months.”
This extension covers different types of statements and payments, including 2022 individual income tax returns and payments, contributions to IRA accounts and health savings accounts, and quarterly estimated tax payments.
In addition, partnership and S corporation returns, corporate and trust income tax returns, payroll and quarterly excise taxes, tax returns, and returns filed by tax-exempt organizations.
