Cancel culture? Boo! It is an attack on our freedoms by the finally awakened! There are borders, and we liberals sometimes go too far. We deserve a kick. We deserve the cancellation approved by Ted Cruz.
oh, I join all of you right-wingers in the fight against the new global Antichrist: the Light Base.
Do not worry; we don’t have to hold hands during a demonstration – I know you feel it could be “a little gay”. Which brings me to the point why we have to boycott the Base.
What, readers? Haven’t you heard of this one? I am sure that when you do that, you will feel the same as me and all my new crazy friends, with weapons and religious texts, sound and anger.
You see, Laiter’s new film includes a couple of women kissing. Those PCs written at Disney / Pixar have obviously crossed the line. These are not friends who meet after work at a wine bar. They are not relatives – say sisters or relatives. They are full, out (whispering) lesbians.
As a result, the film was banned in much of the Middle East. Western conservatives are also at gunpoint – especially Christian conservatives. Cruz was positive.
Gay women? Satan hell arises, as the Bible says. That is shameful. Wait, does the Bible say that at all? I know that religious types mess around with the Levitical Law and other parts where peace and good will for all people, love of neighbor, things are quietly forgotten in favor of fire and sulfur and do not say “gay”.
But is there anything about gay female relationships from, you know, Jesus? I think Paul wrote some cross letters to the Romans condemning them. (I must admit: I went to church school when I was young, so they threw a lot of Bibles at me until I made a minor scandal by telling my teacher I didn’t believe in God.) This is the same Paul who had a lot of interruptions, and because that’s what fundamentalists and other lunatics love.
Oh, well, I’m getting out of the way. Because it’s not just about what the Bible does or doesn’t say. It’s about children – and the scandal of exposing children to gay women. I mean, don’t they have enough to do, what about exams, growing up and parents who can’t afford to buy food? Confronting them with a gay kiss is really too much.
Wait … what is that? Some of them may have already been spoiled by an unlimited number of comedies, dramas and other shows with gay characters? On mainstream channels in most of the western world? But this is a children’s film.
Video of the day
The kiss is chaste, in a way that, say, the first Star Trek experiment in showing same-sex love was definitely not (that is in DS9). Many children have watched – and still watch, if their parents have not unsubscribed from Netflix. In any case, the video is on YouTube and you don’t have to sign up first, as you do for NSFV content. But that is because YouTube standards are terrible and we should consider a boycott and that.
In any case, Star Trek is not special for children. It never was. But Lightiear did.
I know that the little darlings probably came across Mrs. and Mrs. Jones who run the bakery, who look pretty nice and make a bad cookie. But the couple don’t kiss at work anymore than Mr. and Mrs. Smith, who run a bakery in Ogdenville. So we can live with that … almost.
I’m sorry, I’m getting out of the way again – I’ll retreat to the corner of the office and talk to myself. We’re talking about how horrible and horrible Disney was in putting a gay kiss into a movie especially for kids. But wait, doesn’t Disney Plus have a bunch of child-friendly material in its pride section? Which doesn’t seem to have brought down the Antichrist on us … Of course, those titles are not in theaters, and they are in their special part. So it’s not “mainstream”.
Oh, nasty. I can’t go on with this anymore.
Buzz fuss is the biggest pile of horse feces I’ve seen since the last filling of hypocritical horse poop. The fact that conservative theocrats in America and the Middle East, and probably right-wingers in parts of Britain, are all distorted because two animated women are kissing only shows us how out there are these days.
Did you think that the “culture of resignation” was just a matter for the left? This shows you that it’s time to think again, doesn’t it? The real Disney scandal is that Baz’s film – a fairly common outing with a famous “franchise” character – is the first time we’ve been able to see the offer of the usually wildly creative people from Pixar on the silver screen as it feels forever. Both Luca and Turning Red, critical and creative triumphs, and original films, not sequels or spin-offs, were sent directly to the streaming platform.
Luke talks about sea monsters and accepting diversity (as well as a love letter to Italian flies). Meanwhile, Turning Red draws attention to the challenges faced by a Chinese-Canadian teenager who turns into a red panda as she turns into adolescence. It goes so far as to discuss (whisper) periods! In an honest, open and often funny way.
Indignation. Scandal. This will lead to the collapse of society. Think of children. It is a cartoon intended for children, which talks about periods. I mean, a gay kiss is one thing, but periods in the movie. Intended for children. Specifically for children …
