Winter Park Resort was recently voted by USA Today readers as the best ski resort in North America, the third year in a row the Colorado destination has earned the title.
Winter Park took the top spot for its 3,081 acres of terrain, which features 166 trails and 25 lifts. Sunshine Village Ski Resort (Alberta, Canada), Palisades Tahoe (California), Mount Bohemia (Michigan), Copper Mountain (Colorado), Brundage Mountain Ski Resort (Idaho), Stowe Mountain Resort (Vermont), Lake Louise Ski Resort (Alberta) Canada) and Revelstoke Mountain Resort (British Columbia, Canada) round out the top 10.
Winter Park was recently ranked the number 10 most affordable ski resort in America by vacation rental site Holidu, which costs an average of $135 per day to ski.
The USA Today Rankings is part of an annual series called 10 Best, in which the publication elects a panel of skiing and snowboarding experts to compile a list of the best resorts in the US and Canada before opening the list for its readers to vote on. Favorites in an annual series known as 10 Best.
It lets readers vote on many other wintry topics where Colorado’s natural wealth shines. Here’s how the local attraction fared on the other 10 best lists:
- Devil’s Thumb Ranch In Tabernash, Colo. was voted the No. 1 cross-country ski resort in the US, followed by Snow Mountain Ranch At number 5 in the Grammys.
- double diamonds bar 1 aprs-ski bar in the nation for the fourth year in a row, followed by Steamboat Springs Rocky Mountain Underground No. 9 and 6th in Breckenridge Alley Bar & Grill 10 in the Arapaho Basin.

- tenth in well and Ellie’s Cabin Beaver Creek was voted the 6th and 7th best, respectively, of the best on-mountain restaurants in North America.
