Neymar has been linked with City this summer
Erling Haaland, new formation and 10 youngsters – what Man City can learn on pre-season tour
Citi has landed in Houston and will begin its travel activities on Sunday as part of eight days full of action in the United States.
The tour began with news that four of the first team’s key players would not travel, but it gave others – including four new signings – a chance to impress Pep Guardiola a week before the new season. Many youngsters have also traveled, providing a useful opportunity for the coaching staff to demonstrate what they can do in a senior match environment.
With a heatwave warning in the UK, players in the city will have met temperatures of 35 degrees in Texas, along with high humidity, with the potential to increase further during their stay in Houston. However, the 26-man squad will have to adapt as this week can play a crucial role in their prospects for the coming season.

Brighton’s Mark Cucurella is City’s prime target, with the Blues hoping to chase down the left-back if Oleksandr Zinchenko leaves for Arsenal. Neymar is the second player to be linked with a move to Etihad.
