“Our Veracruz needs a woman to be the governor of our state, and we will achieve it,” said Zenyazen Roberto Escobar García, when announcing his support for Norma Rocío Nahle García in the internal competition of the National Regeneration Party Movement (MORENA) for candidacy for the governorship of Veracruz.
During an information assembly of the 4T Defense Committees in Orizaba, the former Secretary of Education, who will participate in the party’s survey, showed his public support for the former head of the Ministry of Energy (SENER).
“What is MORENA if we do not promote the rights of our colleagues? In that sense, I signed the solidarity agreement to support the survey at all times, when my colleague Rocío Nahle is the coordinator of the Fourth Transformation Committees.
He said that we are living in times of change and that he has the opportunity to walk from house to house these days and talk to people.
“Seven years ago (…) I was a representative of the State Congress, and our colleague Rocío was the federal coordinator of the first MORENA bank in the (federal) Congress, and now when we arrive at home, people welcome us,” he declared.
So you refused in favor of Rocío Nahle? Is it in the formula?—asked him.
First of all, let me tell you that the subject of the survey has not been determined, but I have already signed the Unity Agreement. I gave it to Claudia Sheinbaum, where I signed it. All willing partners will accept, if it is gender, our partner Rocío Nahle at the helm to coordinate the work of the Fourth Amendment in the state of Veracruz.
Do you hope to continue the formula with him if the survey does not favor you?

He added that he fully trusts the MORENA party because the hope and the change have already given results and are tangible.

For his part, Nahle García asked the militants not to fall into any kind of provocation or tire themselves. He also maintained that everyone who lives in Veracruz is from Veracruz, and there is no place for discrimination in the movement.
“Here in Veracruz, what defines us is unity because Veracruz has been the gateway to thousands of French, Spanish, Germans, Lebanese, Asians, Africans and Veracruz has always been kind. 8 million (people) in the territory of Veracruz is Veracruz. And the million Veracruzanos who, for whatever reason, had to leave the territory are also Veracruzanos. There is no room for discrimination here. There is no room for accusations here,” he said.
During the Informative Assembly of the defense committees of the 4T in Orizaba, he recalled that in this movement and with it there is a place but for unity, work, brotherhood and, above all, brotherhood, “because of national level we are one of the most stable and organized and we will not give space for separation, because there is a fracture. On the contrary”.
“Governor!” Zenyazen yelled at him.
Accompanied by Escobar García, who shouted “Governor!” and raised his hand, the Former Head of SENER maintained that whatever the result, it will be coordinated, because it is not a personal issue but something of general interest to the people of Veracruz and Mexico.
“I am a woman with conviction and work. That’s what we’re going to do in Veracruz. But that challenge is not for one person but for everyone,” he said.
He added that this is also a time for women and the numbers of the number of deputies and other federal and state officials prove it.
“We women are ready and we are working with our president Andrés Manuel López and we have a coordinator, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum.
“Our movement hopes that you will see us working together and united because we will serve the people of Veracruz. This information assembly is to coordinate us because our movement is alive and the change must continue, here everyone is needed,” he said.
He asked not to forget what the neoliberal regime did, which dismantled the State of Mexico with more than 2 thousand public companies and few remained like Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), “which in a way saved of the Fourth Amendment.”
“The 4T must continue with our coordinator Claudia Sheinbaum. A fundamental part of the change is the support given to our elders, the ‘Spreading of Life’ to provide direct support to those who -farmers, as well as support for young people to give them a chance. Specific programs have been installed and universities have been created,” he said.
He also emphasized that progress has been made in the works, which bring jobs for all Mexicans.
“The Dos Bocas refinery was achieved because more than 37 thousand workers, who are Mexicans, did a good job. In this we show that we are capable and hardworking. It was also a reality because we have the support of the President,” he clarified.
Militants and sympathizers of MORENA attended the assembly, as well as members of the group “Unidos Todos”, led by the undersecretary of SEFIPLAN, Eleazar Guerrero.
