ZTE reveals it started research on 6G technology with positive results

As the Asian giants we know ZTE announced that it has started research on 6G technology to achieve 1 million gigabit network neighborhoods in the future.

While in Chile we are in the first phase of 5G (5G NSA), ZTE is already thinking about the amazing potential these awesome speeds could be able to provide to the development of 5G.

But, we may still be a long way from that technology. ZTE says it is committed to technological innovation and R&D investment in network improvement to maintain its market advantage.

The company spent up to 16 billion yuan on research this year, accounting for about 17% of its operating income during the period. He says that 6G is still in the early stages of development.

ZTE will conduct key defining research into 6G technologies that could set the blueprint for future developments in the field. The company will leverage its rich resources of R&D personnel to deliver the innovation needed to drive the development of 6G.

6G research has a broad technical design and will be intensive. ZTE says it will actively explore industry alliances, open source communities and other creative collaborations for further research.

ZTE has active R&D units in different parts of the world, which have some core competencies, which can be an advantage for them. Its main areas include 5G wireless, carriers, access, chips, and more. It has consistently dedicated 10% of its operating income annually to the cause.

It says it will continue to make the necessary efforts to accelerate significant developments in 6G technology. 6G networks are expected to come online in 2030.
